Zack's mother and father, Billie and Robert Eakens, started this ministry to faithfully preserve the honor of their son by sharing the joy he brought to their lives with other children during the Christmas season. Since its inception the toy drive have provided toys to nearly 200 children, 25 children in 2008 alone. Support for the drive is not only provided by Pleasant View but also by Risco Baptist Church as well as many individuals in the area. It is our privilege to join with Robert and Billie in this toy drive each year and we heartily encourage your support of this effort. Donations towards the drive typically begin in November of each year and continue through the middle of December when toys, clothing and other needed items are purchased for deserving children in our area. |

Each Christmas our church proudly supports the Zack Steele Eakens Toy Drive. Zack Eakens was a 7 year old Risco student who died tragically in a car accident in 2000. Zack's family and friends have donated toys to local children in his honor since that time. Well over 100 families have benefited from this toy drive over the last 8 years.
